HEALTH & NUTRITION

In recent years we have deeply worked on Child Growth and Malnutrition area advising specialists who investigate the feeding practices of mothers and children in critical living conditions.

As we have worked with experts from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) (https://www.cdc.gov/ ), researchers from the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) (http://www.gainhealth.org/about/gain/ ) and professionals from different countries who were opportunely involved in each project, we have gained vast experience in data analysis of these issues.

We worked calculating and analyzing indicators such as:

«Indicators for assessing infant and young child feeding practices» (IYCF) from WHO and UNICEF last series recommendations.
«Household Hunger Scale» from the Food and Nutrition Technical Assistance III Project (FANTA)
Anthropometric indicators. – length / height-for-age, weight-for-age, weight-for-length, weight-for-height and body mass index-for-age – from WHO Child Growth Standards.
Wealth Index recommended by the World Bank and WFP.

Also, it is common to merge with the main dataset any external data as the biological or chemical analysis results from a Lab, or other household information coming from a different source.
